SMA is pleased to introduce John McTighe, Executive Vice President of Background Screening Division at Data Facts as our presenter for our fall breakfast seminar.
John has more than 25 years of professional leadership experience. He joined the Data Facts team in 2019 when they acquired Background Decision, the background screening business he developed and built from the ground up. He has consistently delivered double-digit growth each year during the past 15 years while also improving efficiency, quality, & compliance.
John attributes success throughout the years to his understanding that customers need more than just raw data to make effective business decisions. In addition to accurate information, he has focused on surrounding customers with intuitive technology, compliance tools, and the expertise of knowledgeable staff. Additional specialties include developing go-to-market strategies, new business development, and improving operational efficiencies. He is a Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
McTighe is also an active member of several industry associations including the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), the National Consumer Reporting Association (NCRA), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is a frequent speaker on the background screening industry and screening best practices at human resources and multi-family housing events around the country. John proudly holds an Advanced FCRA certification from the National Association of Professional Background Screeners.
John lives in Connecticut with his wife Kim, their two children, and dog Chloe. He is an avid fan of the UCONN Huskies, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. John enjoys volunteering with his son’s Boy Scout troop, and been known to be a frequent prop roadie for his daughter’s dance company.
