Join SMA and HRACC virtually for a compelling program that will help you to be more affirming and inclusive. From terminology and definitions, to rethinking traditional social assumptions about gender and sexuality, this is a must for all those who wish to be better allies to the LGBTQ community.

  • Associate the language and definition of terms with the LGBTQ community, including lesser known identities within the community
  • Define and understand notions of hetero-normativity, the gender binary, and cis-normativity
  • Rethink social norms and expectations surrounding sexuality and gender in our society
  • Understand the importance of allyship in real life situations and best practices that protect the safety and inclusion of LGBTQ individuals
